Round Trip Roundup: SEPTEMBER

I’ve been putting this post off for a long time.  I’ll just wait till the end of the month, but I checked the calendar and the end of the month is here.  That’s how my month has been going: quick, busy, crazy.  But with speed, busyness and craziness comes a blur of activity.  That being said, here are my top 5 for the month:

This post may include sponsorship and affiliate links, but all opinions are my own.

1. Cat tee

Let me start off by saying I’m a Target girl through and through.  (Just check my blog bio!)  But when a gal pal needed to run some errands at Walmart, I said why not? because it’s an easy way to get some quality time in.  We made our way through aisles of mythical slippers, squirrel baskets and camouflage what-not.  And low and behold, I found this cat tee in the men’s section for $7.50.

2. Judah & the Lion

#1 made an appearance at a Judah & the Lion concert with my brother.  I hadn’t listened much to this band, but when my brother asked if I wanted to go (and said he’d buy my ticket), I quickly added their albums to my Spotify account.  Let me just say that the concert was a spiritual experience with incredible energy, lots of fist pumping and singing along.  Even though it was on a weeknight, getting up early the next morning was totally worth it.  (Oh, and sibling time was fun too!)

3. Greetabl Gift Box

I came across this St. Louis-based business on a sponsored Instagram post and instantly fell in love with its extraordinary concept.  I love photos.  I love little trinkets.  I love cute prints.  I love personal messages.  Bam, bam, bam, bam.  They have a wide variety of mini gifts to pick from and cute patterns.  And if that weren’t enough, the pictures tear off for you to keep!  And and and you can ship it directly to your gal pal!

4. Getting fancy with my DSLR

I’ve had my Nikon D3200 since high school, and I’m embarrassed to say that I just learned how to shoot manual this month.  But now I understand my camera better and believe I can shoot much better photos.  Sometimes it just takes a little time and willingness to not know what you’re doing for awhile to move up in life.  (Okay, little dramatic, but feeling proud of my lil accomplishment!)

5. Slow down or else…

Again, this month has been wild from game days to journalism projects, small group events to club meetings.  And unfortunately, it all caught up with me this past week with an onset of bronchitis.  Yeehaw.  That calls for naps and facials.  (I suppose there are worse things.)

Looking forward to fall weather and warm drinks at Starbucks albeit with more craziness this October.

{How do you find meaning in all the busyness?}
